Abstract
This article examines the theoretical and methodological elements that underpin character construction in the stage work of the Bogotá-based group Ditirambo Teatro. Through the discussion of terms such as “univocal work,” “equivocal work,” and “popular theater,” among others, the author documents the experience that the group has refined over the years while exploring various approaches to the task of staging. It offers a local, internal perspective, aimed at deepening the understanding of the challenges surrounding the development of a character.
