Abstract

The author presents a series of reflections on character construction, drawing upon years of professional experience in performance, directing, and theater criticism. These ideas stem both from the author’s own artistic practice and from the exchange of perspectives within various artistic and academic settings—both in the author’s home country and abroad—culminating in a robust intellectual stance regarding how a character is brought to life.
