Abstract
Rarely—very rarely—do we in Cali have the opportunity to see diverse, high-quality performances. It seems (or perhaps it is simply the case?) that we, the people of Cali, are relegated to watching—over and over again—nothing but salsa… a genre for which we are, as they say, the world capital. While it is true that salsa is, to some extent, a part of who we are, it also limits our dialogue with the rest of the world. Well, during its latest "Thinking About Cali" (*Pensar a Cali*) symposium, the Faculty of Performing Arts at Bellas Artes managed to break this unfortunate pattern by bringing to the city a theatrical production—the kind that is truly impossible to forget.
