The Lonely Soul: from the narrative program to the theatrical situation: analytical heterodoxies

Abstract

This article presents a semiotic analysis of the narrative text *El Ánima Sola*, contrasted with an analysis of the play by the master Enrique Buenaventura. The study is divided into two main parts: the first, "*El Ánima Sola*: From Narrative Program to Theatrical Situation—Analytical Heterodoxies," highlights the literary construction of the short story and identifies elements that become fundamental when adapting the work for the stage. The second part, "Analytical Approach to the Theatrical Version of *El Ánima Sola* by Enrique Buenaventura"—which takes into account the author's own analysis of the text and the Teatro El Taller production—aims to determine how the questions raised by the text and the playwright's analytical considerations are resolved in the theatrical version.
