Abstract

This essay is the outcome of readings related to the syllabus of the course "Structure of the Comic"—taught at the Faculty of Performing Arts of the *Instituto Departamental de Bellas Artes*—which closely follows Henri Bergson’s essay *Laughter*. Some of the methods for achieving the comic outlined here were explored with fifth-semester students in 2005, involving collective analysis and the resulting conclusions.
