Four perspectives from the street of the great occasion

Abstract

The urban setting of Luisa Josefina Hernández’s *La calle de la gran Ocasión* invites us, as spectators, to engage our imaginations across four situations within the play—Clara and Enrique; Trufaldino and Esmeraldina; The Poet and Filomena; and The Dragon and Martha—a work that, when staged, reveals the imagery, metaphors, transpositions, antinomies, and comedy of our current social reality.
