Abstract
Rationalism makes a desacralizing effort to offer us a world built on formal and logical foundations. This laudable intention of instrumental reason, linked to possessive individualism, is a visible characteristic of our lifestyle, overwhelmed by colossal questions about the meaning of life and civilization. This horizon determines the education that governs us. We strive to connect classrooms to reason, to life, through the creative path of action, guided by sound arguments and just intentions, but this is not the case.
