Abstract
Jesus is the work of Cuban playwright Virgilio Piñera. It is a theatrical farce that on this occasion has been adapted to dialogue with the contemporary aesthetics of a municipality in the south of Valle del Cauca.
A lie becomes truth due to the popular psychology of the masses, making the life of an unsuspecting village hairdresser end up imitating the eventful life of the religious character “Jesus of Nazareth”.
The viewer will experience a series of emotions: laughter, uncertainty and helplessness, reflecting on the power of information in contemporary society and how new forms of communication relativize reality, channeling opinion according to the interest pursued.
