Abstract
As part of its commitment to a culture of ongoing self-evaluation, the Faculty of Performing Arts has recognized the need to strengthen the academic writing competencies of its faculty members. Consequently, as part of the implementation of its Improvement Plan, the 2010 professional development program for faculty included the first level of a workshop titled "Writing Academic Texts," led by communications specialist Kevin García.
